Red Rocks Skate Comp - Sedona Az
UBF left its mark at the Red Rocks Comp in Sedona: Saturday Sept 15th was the Red Rock Skate Comp in Sedona, AZ put on by Sanctuary Skate Shop (www.sanctuaryskate.com). Nice weather and beautiful scenery set the stage for a great day for the UBF team skaters. First up were the groms, with Shane Short skating in the 8 and under division. He wowed the crowd and judges as he ripped his way to FIRST PLACE in his division. Way to go SHANE!! Next up was Brandon Short in the 12-15 division where he nailed trick after trick on his way to a solid 3rd place finish in a very large field of skaters in his age group. And then to cap off the day, Dustin Cutlip, competing in the Sponsored Am division, went up against 20 of the states top sponsored Ams. Dustin’s first run was impressive, but so were many of the other Ams. When it came time for Dustin to skate his second run he cranked it up, starting with the sweetest krook down the big rail and then just blew up with big air, after big air, and followed all that up with some nasty grinds and blunts that really had the crowd going. The judges must of liked it too…thats right….FIRST PLACE!!
